<p><span class="vv"><strong>JOHN 17:</strong> 6</span>&nbsp;&lsquo;I have made your name known to those whom you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">7</sup>Now they know that everything you have given me is from you;&nbsp;<sup class="ww">8</sup>for the words that you gave to me I have given to them, and they have received them and know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">9</sup>I am asking on their behalf; I am not asking on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those whom you gave me, because they are yours.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">10</sup>All mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I have been glorified in them.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">11</sup>And now I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. <p><sup class="ww">JOHN 9</sup>As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; abide in my love.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">10</sup>If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father&rsquo;s commandments and abide in his love.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">11</sup>I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.</p>
<p><span class="vv">12</span>&nbsp;&lsquo;This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">13</sup>No one has greater love than this, to lay down one&rsquo;s life for one&rsquo;s friends.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">14</sup>You are my friends if you do what I command you.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">15</sup>I do not call you servants<a href="http://bible.oremus.org/?passage=Luke+10:25-37"></a>&nbsp;any longer, because the servant<a href="http://bible.oremus.org/?passage=Luke+10:25-37"></a>&nbsp;does not know what the master is doing; but I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from my Father.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">16</sup>You did not choose me but I chose you. <p><span class="vv">JOHN 10:11</span>&nbsp;&lsquo;I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">12</sup>The hired hand, who is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away&mdash;and the wolf snatches them and scatters them.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">13</sup>The hired hand runs away because a hired hand does not care for the sheep.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">14</sup>I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,&nbsp;<sup class="ww">15</sup>just as the Father knows me and I know the Father. And I lay down my life for the sheep.<sup class="ww">16</sup>I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">17</sup>For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">18</sup>No one takes<a href="http://bible.oremus.org/?passage=Luke+10:25-37"><sup class="fnote">*</sup></a>&nbsp;it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. <p><span class="cc">LUKE 15:&nbsp;</span>Now all the tax-collectors and sinners were coming near to listen to him.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">2</sup>And the Pharisees and the scribes were grumbling and saying, &lsquo;This fellow welcomes sinners and eats with them.&rsquo;</p>

<p><span class="cc"><strong>MARK</strong> 16</span>When the sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">2</sup>And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">3</sup>They had been saying to one another, &lsquo;Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?&rsquo;&nbsp;<sup class="ww">4</sup>When they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled back.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">5</sup>As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man, dressed in a white robe, sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">6</sup>But he said to them, &lsquo;Do not be alarmed; you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. <p><span class="cc"><strong>MARK</strong> 14</span>It was two days before the Passover and the festival of Unleavened Bread. The chief priests and the scribes were looking for a way to arrest Jesus<a href="http://bible.oremus.org/?passage=Luke+10:25-37"></a>&nbsp;by stealth and kill him;&nbsp;<sup class="ww">2</sup>for they said, &lsquo;Not during the festival, or there may be a riot among the people.&rsquo;</p>
<p><span class="vv">3</span>&nbsp;While he was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper,<a href="http://bible.oremus.org/?passage=Luke+10:25-37"></a>&nbsp;as he sat at the table, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very costly ointment of nard, and she broke open the jar and poured the ointment on his head.<sup class="ww">4</sup>But some were there who said to one another in anger, &lsquo;Why was the ointment wasted in this way?&nbsp;<sup class="ww">5</sup>For this ointment could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii,<a href="http://bible.oremus.org/?passage=Luke+10:25-37"></a>&nbsp;and the money given to the poor.&rsquo; And they scolded her.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">6</sup>But Jesus said, &lsquo;Let her alone; why do you trouble her? <p><span class="vv">20</span>&nbsp;Now among those who went up to worship at the festival were some Greeks.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">21</sup>They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and said to him, &lsquo;Sir, we wish to see Jesus.&rsquo;&nbsp;<sup class="ww">22</sup>Philip went and told Andrew; then Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">23</sup>Jesus answered them, &lsquo;The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">24</sup>Very truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">25</sup>Those who love their life lose it, and those who hate their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.&nbsp;<sup class="ww">26</sup>Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there will my servant be also. Whoever serves me, the Father will honour.</p>
<p><span class="vv">27</span>&nbsp;&lsquo;Now my soul is troubled. And what should I say&mdash;&ldquo;Father, save me from this hour&rdquo;? No, it is for this reason that I have come to this hour.<sup class="ww">28</sup>Father, glorify your name.&rsquo; Then a voice came from heaven, &lsquo;I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.&rsquo;&nbsp;<sup class="ww">29</sup>The crowd standing there heard it and said that it was thunder.
