Joyful and energetic! These words best describe our worship at Lake City Christian Church. We love Jesus Christ, we love to worship, and we love to share.

My husband, Gary, and I moved here recently from Olympia; these are the first things we noticed at Lake City Christian Church. Come, hear the singing and experience the enthusiasm. You’ll see why we were attracted to this congregation!

We seek to include all persons; we care about justice in our community and our world. We are living into this as we serve a meal each month for hungry persons, volunteer at our local food bank, and model serving others with our youth. “We are a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world.” This is from our denomination, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We look for ways to live this statement.

A graduate of Sammamish High School in Bellevue, Lyndee returned to the Seattle area after a fifteen year absence in 2008. Lyndee is a freelance singer in the Seattle area, operates a private voice studio and music directs at a number of theaters in the area. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and her Master of Music at the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati.

Lyndee has the many churches in her life to thank for her love of music. At the age of 6, Lyndee sang her first solo on Christmas Eve and since then, has sung and directed in multiple churches throughout the country. LCCC is the second Disciples of Christ congregation that Lyndee has served, having most recently been the Director of Music at Evergreen Christian Church in Evergreen, CO.

Annie Brooks recently completed her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance at Western Washington University, studying under Professor Jeffrey Gilliam. As a freshman, she was a winner of the WWU Concerto Competition and has since discovered and developed a love for performance. More recently, she was the 2009-2010 recipient of the prestigious Presser Scholarship and was named Presidential Scholar for her graduating class of Fine and Performing Arts, Western’s highest award. Apart from pursuing her love for chamber music, Annie spends her spare time reading, taking long walks, and trying to make the perfect latte.
